Convert HEIC to JPG on iPhone without uploading
JPEG is useful when a recipient or website does not accept HEIC. MediaForge 1.1.0 is planned to offer local image conversion, with explicit quality and dimension controls. It creates a new rendered image rather than preserving an original camera master.
Available now: 1.0 · Image, GIF and tracking tools are planned for 1.1.0.
Quick start
- Import one HEIC image from Photos or Files. Verify that the preview opens correctly on your device.
- Use Picture to crop, rotate or adjust exposure and color if needed.
- In Export, choose Image and JPEG, then set the longest edge and quality. Upscaling cannot recover missing detail.
- If the source is transparent, choose a matte color because JPEG does not retain transparency. Use PNG when you need an alpha channel.
- Export, inspect the saved image, then share or save it. Visual output uses 8-bit sRGB and removes the source's EXIF, GPS and comments.
Will the conversion retain camera metadata?
Visual exports remove original EXIF, GPS and comments. Keep the original file separately if you need its metadata.
Does it preserve HDR or RAW editing data?
No. This is an 8-bit sRGB rendering workflow, not HDR or RAW mastering.
Can I convert to other image formats?
PNG, JPEG, HEIC, TIFF and BMP are offered where the system encoder supports them. The format controls depend on the selected output.
