Using HanziGlow

HanziGlow provides educational writing references, pronunciation, passage practice, descriptive feedback, and local history. It is a learning aid, not a certification of handwriting skill or a substitute for a qualified teacher.

Free and subscription access

The free core includes 200 characters. Monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions provide the same paid features, including the 3,500-character library and advanced practice. Current prices and eligibility for a one-week introductory free trial are shown by the App Store before purchase.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account. A subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it in Apple Account subscription settings. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple and generally applies once per subscription group per Apple Account.

Expiration, restoration, and refunds

When paid access expires, free-core practice remains available and saved handwriting history remains viewable. Paid reference animation and new paid-character tracing require active access. Use Restore or Sync Purchases when needed. Apple handles billing and refund decisions.

Your content

You retain responsibility for personal passages you type, paste, or import. Do not use the app to store content that is unlawful or infringes another person's rights. Personal passages and handwriting are stored locally unless you choose to export them.

Availability and changes

Features may change to improve safety, compatibility, accessibility, or learning quality. Low-confidence or unsupported character data may be withheld instead of presented as precise guidance. Reasonable efforts are made to preserve local data, but you should export anything important before erasing or replacing a device.
