Privacy policy

Your media stays local unless you choose to share it.

Effective and last updated: September 15, 2026. AcoustoViz requires no account or cloud service. Media analysis, projects, and support packages remain local unless you export or share them. The free tier uses Google Mobile Ads and its consent platform only for advertising.

Media we do not collect

The developer does not receive your recordings, imported media, projects, notes, tags, calibration profiles, analysis results, or local support packages. On-device media processing is not developer collection.

Data stored on your device

The app may store selected/recorded media, projects, templates, markers, sessions, settings, calibration evidence, job state, caches, and coarse local diagnostics. These support the features you request.

Camera, microphone, Files, and Photos

Camera and microphone are requested when you start capture. Microphone audio is recorded with video and analyzed locally. Files and Photos pickers expose only selected items. Add-only Photos access is requested when saving original or exported videos. Automatic saving of originals is off by default and can be enabled in Settings.

Sharing and support

Export and support files leave the app only after you invoke the system share sheet and choose a destination. The chosen service’s privacy terms then apply. Email you send to support is retained only as needed to answer and protect the service.

Advertising and consent

On the free tier, an Apple App Tracking Transparency request appears when you first visit Projects or Settings after onboarding. Only after tracking is authorized and Google UMP consent requirements are met does the app initialize Google Mobile Ads and request banners. Declining or restricting tracking leaves all free features available and prevents ad initialization and requests. Pro does not request ads. Google may process IP-derived coarse location, device identifiers, advertising data, product interaction, crash data, performance data, and other diagnostic data for advertising, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, and SDK operation. Authorized tracking can associate device identifiers with data from other companies’ apps and websites. Media, projects, calibration evidence, reports, and support packages are never supplied to the advertising SDK.

Storage, protection, and deletion

Project data is stored in the app’s protected Application Support area and is excluded from automatic backup by the app. Disposable caches can be rebuilt. Delete projects, sessions, calibration profiles, exports, and caches through the app where available; deleting AcoustoViz removes its app container. Files or Photos copies you deliberately created must be removed in those apps.

Private support packages

A support package is generated locally only after your request. It excludes media, PCM, analysis frames, project titles/notes, filenames, full paths, and route identifiers by design. The app does not select a recipient or report that a package was sent.

Choices, protection, retention, and contact

Privacy Policy and Ad information and reporting are always available in Settings, including for Pro users. Change tracking permission in system Settings. When required, Manage ad privacy options reopens Google UMP; a deliberate request to manage these choices may contact Google. Regional consent never overrides ATT. Changing consent removes old ad views and rechecks permission before a new request. The app requires third parties handling its data to provide protection consistent with this policy and applicable requirements. Google describes its safeguards in its Privacy Policy; advertising-data retention varies by purpose and is explained in its retention policy. Use My Ad Center for applicable Google advertising controls or contact us for help with a privacy or deletion request.
