Share or print to PDF
Share images, PDFs or videos to PaperPatina from another app, then open PaperPatina. A single received file opens in the editor. Printable content can be shared as PDF from the system print preview. Source apps may offer different controls; this app does not register a local AirPrint printer.
Use the redaction pen
Open Redact → Redaction pen and cover the entire sensitive area with a margin. Export a new file and inspect it before sharing. The original and local editing records remain on your device; uncovered content and surrounding context can still reveal information. Video marks do not automatically track moving subjects.
Watermark and Privacy tabs
Open Watermark → Text & Style to change text, color, opacity and layout. In Privacy, inspect the source, enable cleanup or anonymous names, then inspect the most recent exports. Both English and Simplified Chinese interfaces are available.
What cleanup changes
Image cleanup uses full-size PNG in the dedicated configuration. PDFs are rasterized and videos transcoded. Dimensions, encoding details and new PDF timestamps may remain. Metadata cleanup does not erase visible text, audio or a filename written into a watermark.
Start with a scan effect
Import media, open Effects → Scan, and choose a mode. Noise, grain size and speckles are separate controls. Black-and-white document uses a threshold; dithering and halftone add different dot patterns.
Check dots at full size
Use PNG and view at 100% when judging tiny black-and-white dots. JPEG, video compression and resizing can introduce gray pixels. Watermarks and paper layers can also change the final colors.
PDFs and video
PDF effects are exported as rasterized pages; the original searchable text layer is not preserved. Try a short video or a few PDF pages before a large batch. Keep the app open for predictable completion; background work is scheduled by iOS.
Photos and the share extension
Grant access only to media you want to use. iCloud originals may need downloading by the system. From another app, use Share → PaperPatina, then return to PaperPatina to import the batch.
Feedback
Use TestFlight feedback or email [email protected]. Include app version, device, iOS version and reproduction steps. Remove private details from screenshots.
Purchase, restore and manage
Open Remove App Watermark below the library list or in Watermark/Export tools. Choose monthly, yearly or lifetime access. Restore valid purchases with the same Apple Account after reinstalling or changing devices. Use Manage Subscriptions to change or cancel a plan. Existing lifetime purchases stay valid. Buying lifetime access does not automatically cancel a subscription: disable renewal separately to avoid continuing charges. Re-export originals after purchase; existing files do not change. TestFlight transactions are sandbox tests without real charges.
Subscription terms
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Renewal is charged within the final 24 hours of the period. Annual subscriptions are charged at the full annual price. Cancellation preserves access until expiry. After expiry, new exports regain app branding unless you own lifetime access. If Apple grants a billing grace period, access continues through its verified end date; update your payment details in Manage Subscriptions. Apple standard Terms of Use (EULA) apply.
