How do I fly?

Use Catalog to inspect a target, then Warp to travel there. One finger orbits the rotation center; two fingers look around, pinch to approach or retreat, and twist to roll. The target menu lets you set or clear a temporary selection.

How do I control time or replay a mission?

Expand UTC for the timeline and playback speed. More → Places & Routes opens observation sites, spacecraft trajectories and your recordings. Choose a viewpoint and play, pause or reverse. You can take control of the camera at any time.

Where can I land?

Land appears near supported rocky bodies: Earth, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars. Aim at a visible surface to choose your landing site. After landing, the stick steers and the arrows drive forward or backward. Take Off, or pull back until the whole globe fits, to resume free flight.

Why are some objects dark or unavailable?

Natural view preserves day/night contrast. Fill Light reveals detail for inspection. Light adaptation is on by default; hold the light button to choose natural or fill lighting with automatic or fixed exposure. Satellite, path and label visibility have their own controls. Satellite orbits and probe trajectories have limited date coverage. For ISS Sunrise, choose the existing satellite orbit date in Places & Routes.

Does it work offline?

Yes, core exploration uses bundled catalogs, textures, encyclopedia entries and trajectories. Updating satellite orbits and opening external information links require internet access.

What is saved, and how do I delete it?

Settings and your flight recordings stay on your device. Delete a recording in Places & Routes. Deleting the app removes its local data; system backups follow your Apple settings.

How do I report a problem?

Email [email protected] with the app version, device model, iOS version and the steps involved. Include the object, simulated UTC date and view settings when relevant. Screenshots are optional; please omit private information.

Language

In the app, open More → Settings → Language. Search by language name or code. Your choice is saved on the device.

Stargaze at my location

Location is used only on your device for the local sky and flight destinations. It is never uploaded. Approximate location also works.

Automatic satellite orbit updates

Satellite orbit updates are automatic by default and can be disabled in Settings. On launch, return to the foreground or during use, outdated snapshots are refreshed as needed over HTTPS from CelesTrak, with requests at least two hours apart. Offline data is retained if an update fails. Flight recordings and motion data are never uploaded.

Outside the orbit prediction window

The simulation time is outside this orbit’s prediction window (14 days before or after its epoch). Update the orbital data or visit the orbit’s epoch.
